Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

Somodus offers paid subscription plans billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). All billing and payment processing is handled by Polar as the Merchant of Record, with payments processed through Stripe. This page explains how subscription renewal, cancellation, plan changes, and refunds work. It supplements Section 4 of our Terms of Use — in case of any conflict, the Terms of Use control.

2. Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) and your payment method is charged at the then-current price, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time as described below.

3. Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time, self-serve, through the Polar billing portal (accessible from the subscription management section of your Somodus plan page). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period:

  • You keep full access to your paid plan until the end of the period you have already paid for
  • You will not be charged again after cancellation
  • At the end of the period, your account moves to the Free plan

4. Plan Changes

Plan upgrades and downgrades apply immediately. Any price difference for the remainder of the billing period is prorated and settled automatically by Polar as the Merchant of Record.

5. Refunds

Refund requests are subject to Polar's refund policy as the Merchant of Record. Fees for billing periods that have already elapsed are generally non-refundable, in line with Polar's buyer terms.

To request a refund, contact us at support@somodus.com or use the Polar billing portal. We review requests case by case (for example, billing errors, duplicate charges, or service issues), and approved refunds are issued by Polar to your original payment method.

These provisions do not affect your statutory rights, including the right of withdrawal under EU consumer protection law where applicable.

6. Free Plan

The Free plan does not require a payment method and is never charged, so no refunds apply to it.
